Oh man, having the time of my life. Playa experience has completely surpassed my expectations. I was a little hesitant before coming here, but now I know it was one of the best decisions of my life.
The people: We have a really good group over here. I somehow thought I was special and that every other poker player would be a geek or strange or whatever, but that's definitely not the case. Even the most successful guys here are completely normal. Low stakes grinders, high stakes ballers, we get along just fine, and that's obv great.
The Stable: It's moving along very well. We had a horse ship a Scoop Low for 42k (insert "Like a Boss" video here). We're expanding into mtt's because that's where we wanted to go all along.
On Solving Life: Well, maybe not completely solved, but I'm getting there. Finally plugging some life-long leaks.
- Never go out clubbing if you're tired.
- Never start drinking during the day.
- Never worry too much about money.
- Never worry too much about the short term.
- Never underestimate anyone.
- Alcohol is means to an end, not the end itself.
- Never dwell on the past. What's done is done. No regrets.... EVER.
- Don't play poker if your mind's not quite there.
About MTT heartbreak:
Sigh, I've had three deep runs lately
A) 90th out of 37k in the huge Sunday Storm.
B) 22nd out of 7k in the Scoop Sunday Million.
C) 42nd out of fuck knows in the Big $11
Every time, it hurt less. As Rowniwn would say, "Man up". It's such a gruesoe life, the MTT grind, but I do want to do that eventually, so I gotta keep trying. Every dog has his day, and it'll be MY DAY soon enough, leggoooooo.
- Playa = Awesome
- Life = Goooooood
- Poker = Not complaining
Till next time. Next blog = My biggest score yet (which only needs to be bigger than 3.5k, so very soon, hopefully)
